Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s Prescott campus is recognized by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletes (NAIA) as part of the California Pacific Athletic Conference (Cal Pac). The university has male and female teams for basketball, cross country, golf, outdoor track, and soccer. There are also male teams for baseball and wrestling, as well as female teams for volleyball and softball.

In previous years, ERAU Prescott has accomplished eight Wrestling National Championships, a track and field National Champion, thirty-three Cal Pac Conference Championships, thirteen College Sports Information Directors of America Academic All-Americans, 288 NAIA Daktronics Scholar-Athletes, and five consecutive Cal Pac Commissioner’s Cups.

Student athletes at ERAU go through intense training programs to increase strength, speed, flexibility and agility. Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Athletics states, “The Embry-Riddle strength and conditioning program is one of great pride. It is where student-athletes develop a relentless work ethic and the mind-set that we will outwork our opponents in the end.”

ERAU Prescott also has a selection of intramural teams that serve as low-pressure ways to play your favorite extra-curriculars. According to the Athletics Department, “Intramural Sports are a popular extracurricular activity offered on campus and getting involved in the program is a great way to meet new people, reconnect with friends, continue playing the sports that you have grown to love, or you can try a new activity you’ve never played before!”

Current active intramural sports include flashball, kickball, soccer, softball, tennis (singles and doubles), ultimate frisbee, and sand volleyball. Intramural seasons begin in September, and students can join open teams through the beginning of November. The Athletics Department also mentions, “You can organize your own team, or utilize the free agents list in hopes of getting picked up by another team looking for more players.”
