Department of Student Engagement Update Fall 2020

Read Time:1 Minutes

Welcome new Eagles! You are about to embark on the journey of a lifetime – I encourage you to make the most of it. ERAU has a lot to offer and we want to help you find the path that is right for you. The Department of Student Engagement is here to help you combine in-class learning with co-curricular experiences. Whether this is enhancing your leadership skills, learning to plan large-scale events, being a part of a student organization or becoming involved in a group related to your major – there is something for you.

With over 150 student organizations, it can be overwhelming to know where to start. Here are some suggestions:

1) Attend Orientation activities – this is a great opportunity to meet your peers (and have fun too)

2) Ask someone to attend an event with you – turn to someone in class or on your floor and ask them to attend that organization meeting or event you want to go to; do the same for them

3) Attend the Fall Activities Fair – Thursday, August 27th

4) Still not sure? Email us, we are happy to assist you. Our office is located in the Student Union.

Why get involved? Statistically, those who get involved on campus report academic success as well as a positive college-going experience. We want you to be a proud and successful member of the ERAU community.

Ultimately, co-curricular involvement can greatly enhance your skill set and help you to achieve your career and personal goals. We encourage you to actively pursue all that ERAU has to offer.

In Eagle Pride,

Emily Bauer

Director of Student Engagement
