Limoncello Pizzeria Napoletana is an authentic Italian restaurant located in the heart of downtown Prescott. Some would even say it’s a hidden gem. To my surprise, this place was packed for a Thursday night. The restaurant is located on the second floor, with convenient public parking in the parking garage connected to the restaurant. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and very cozy. Their giant yellow oven catches your eye on the way in.
The service staff was wonderful, coming over to the table and recommending many mouthwatering things. After doing some research on Yelp my girlfriend and I knew exactly what we wanted. The “Tagliolini ai Funghi di Bosco,” and the “Ravioli di Carne al Pomodoro” were excellent dishes to have. The “Tagliolini ai Funghi di Bosco” that I ordered is a homemade fresh pasta in a cream sauce with three different types of mushrooms, cremini, champignon, and oyster. The pasta was made fresh and served promptly. The sauce was so unique and rich in flavor that I almost forgot to add parmesan cheese to the dish. I wanted to enjoy every single bite of it, without altering the flavor.
After the delicious pastas were done it was time for the dessert. The mouth-watering tiramisu came out. The Italian sponge-soaked espresso cake topped with mascarpone and cocoa powder was absolutely delicious. After we had the dessert the staff brought over a shot of their homemade famous Limoncello alcohol which was so smooth with a great citrus crème taste. It was a great way to enjoy a wonderful evening in Prescott.
Overall, Limoncello was an excellent restaurant to try. The reason I gave it a four out of five stars was because the food didn’t come out as hot as we would have wanted it to. The restaurant was extremely packed, and they looked understaffed while we waited for a table. While it is a little pricey for college students, it’s a great place to check out.
